Galliford Try has secured a £44.5 million contract to provide fire safety improvements at HMP Wakefield.

Delivered by Galliford Try’s Building North East and Yorkshire team, on behalf of the Ministry of Justice (MOJ), the project will involve improvements across the entire facility.
Work has now started on site and the upgrades include:
- fire compartmentalisation
- emergency lighting
- smoke extraction systems
- fire alarms and misting reels
