The University of Warwick is seeking a main contractor for the design and build of its new business school.

Warwick Business School (WBS) has been designed by international architects HLA to support the department’s teaching needs and growth aspirations within the university’s Social Sciences Quarter.
WBS is 28,000 sqm and on a greenfield site at the gateway to the university campus.
A contractor is required to provide design and pre-construction services as well as main construction activities.
“The University of Warwick has embarked on a Social Sciences Connect Programme to develop a theme-based approach to scholarship, fostering collaborative professional services structures and creating a sector-leading Social Sciences Quarter,” a prior information notice reads.
“The first project to be realised is the new Business School building and the project aspirations are centred around a well-designed development to support its image and prestige in achieving its vision to be one of the world’s exceptional universities promoting an accessible, inclusive and people-focused environment.”
The scheme is targeting WELL platinum, EPC ‘A’ and BREEAM ‘Excellent’ ratings.
Plans are to have the building occupied for the start of the academic term in 2029.
