Everton Football Club has announced the appointment of Facilities Management (FM) firm OCS to look after its new £550 million stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock for five years.

It follows Laing O’Rourke completing construction of the 52,888-seater venue and handing it over to Everton FC earlier this month, after 178 weeks on site.
Started in 2021, development began with backfilling Bramley-Moore Dock with 480,000 cubic metres of sand dredged from the Irish Sea to provide its foundations.
After that, all four stands were built to full height, new terracing and roof trusses were lifted into place, brick paneling was installed, and MEP fit-out got underway.
In February last year the final concrete terracing panel was lowered into place in the East Stand, with all 1,988 bespoke, double-stepped units also installed.
Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DfMA) techniques were used by Laing O’Rourke during construction, and stadium architecture specialists MEIS and BDP designed the new venue.
London-headquartered OCS, which currently serves around 8,000 clients globally, will be responsible for everything from waste management to cleaning and security to core operations on match days.
Partnering with IT specialists, EITC, the 200-strong team will include local suppliers, supporting communities in the city.
The stadium adds to the wider £5.5 billion Liverpool Waters regeneration project which will extend more than 2 km along the banks of the River Mersey, with outline planning permission across 60 hectares.
With around £1 billion of new developments under construction, it is understood to be the “largest single-site private sector development in the country”.

“Everton Football Club appoints global-leading facilities management firm OCS for its new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock,” real estate investor-developer Liverpool Waters announced.
“Partnering with EITC, the 200-strong event teams will be made up of local talent, providing employment opportunities for local communities including young people and vulnerable adults.”
