Fitout specialist forecasts record turnover

Linear Group is forecasting a promising year ahead as it announces a string of project wins and strong forward order book.

Group turnover is set to exceed £75 million in 2025, thanks to several successful bids across its main operating arms – Linear Design & Construct, Linear Projects, and Linear Building Compliance. 

The contracting and fit-out specialist has also secured 75 per cent of its order book across all businesses. 

“Our diverse offering across our three core businesses means we can compete and deliver on many fronts,” said Linear Group CEO, Stephen Holmes. 

“From small to medium-size main contract projects through Linear Design & Construct to a range of both specialist and large, complex subcontract packages through Linear Projects and more recently, our Maintenance & Remedial offering through Linear Building Compliance.” 

Established in 2018, Linear Design & Construct (LDC), the group’s main contracting arm, is poised to achieve an increase in turnover to £35 million in 2025, with a focus on the £1 million-£15 million project market. 

Recent LDC wins: 

  • Glasgow office extension & refurbishment – £11 million 
  • Glasgow Skypark fit-out – £1.5 million 
  • The Fringe offices, Edinburgh – £5 million 
  • Dunbar Golf Clubhouse & Driving Range – £3.5 million 
  • Glencadam Distillery visitors centre – £6 million 
  • PWC office fit-out, Glasgow – £3 million 

Another key area for LDC has been Hub Frameworks which led to an increase in public sector tenders for local authorities. 

Linear Projects (Scotland and England): 

  • Blackrock – ceilings and partitions  
  • Dunfermline College – ceilings and partitions   
  • St Andrew’s Square – fit-out 
  • NATIH Building – multi package 
  • Dumfries High School – partitions  
  • Liberton High School – ceilings and partitions   
  • Trafford Gardens, Manchester – residential 
  • Wilmslow Police Station – fit-out 
  • Eye Witness Sheffield – residential 
  • Deloitte, Manchester – fit-out 

Across Scotland and England, these projects have delivered a combined value to the group of £26 million. 

Linear Building Compliance has seen steady growth since it was established in 2022.  

Holmes added: “We are in a very good place heading into our next financial year with 75 per cent of our order book already full in all businesses.”
