Turnover for the year to 30 June 2024 increased 15 per cent to £84 million, compared to £73 million the previous year.

The Swansea-headquartered firm generated a pre-tax profit of £5.2 million, up to £1.7 million in 2023, representing a profit margin 6.2 per cent (2.3 per cent 2023).

Andrew Scott secured an order book of £155 million, which the company claims should represent £90 million in turnover for FY24/25.

Meanwhile, cash in bank at the end of 2024 was £10.4 million, an increase from £9.8 million in 2023.

The company said its growth in sales “resulted in an exceptional set of results,” and that its long-term business strategy “continues to have a positive effect on our core business.”

The company said in a statement: “The construction sector has continued to suffer from difficult trading conditions with inflationary pressures, skilled labour and staff shortages, insolvencies and long term gestation periods for many projects.

“Our business strategy has once again proved successful, creating an agile company that can respond to ever changing pressures of geo-political shifts and changing markets within the private and public sectors.”

The company’s director Andrew Hoppé said: “The past year has been a tremendous success with the company record results, building on the strong performance from prior years.

“Thanks to a solid strategy we have continued to grow the business with the revenue getting ever closer to £100 million and pre-tax profits exceeding targets.

“The results from the year demonstrate that our long-term clients recognise the need to procure both building and civil projects from established contractors with a track record of delivering on time, to high quality and on budget.”
