Regional construction contractor, Speller Metcalfe, has announced the appointment of Adrian Speller to the role of joint managing director.
Speller, who has served as the company’s technical director for several years, takes up the role alongside brother James, the current MD.
The announcement comes following the retirement of joint founder, Andy Metcalfe, announced in October last year.
The appointment marks a natural progression for Speller, who has played a pivotal role in the company’s leadership alongside James since his appointment to managing director in 2022.
James said: “He is one of the most competent people I know – a well-respected and liked leader – and I’m delighted to be managing the future of our family business alongside him.”
Under his technical guidance, the company has achieved numerous UK firsts in areas such as BREEAM and Integrated Project Insurance, while contributing to Speller Metcalfe’s low-carbon and sustainable construction offering.
“After 20 years with the group, I remain fully committed to our mission of delivering cutting-edge, sustainable solutions while promoting collaboration and innovation,” said Speller about his appointment.
“With Speller Metcalfe’s strong foundation of family values and a culture of teamwork, and working together with James and our dedicated staff, we will continue on our journey and stand at the forefront of regional contracting.”
