Glencar has announced the appointment of a new sustainability czar from a leading construction consultancy.
The group said Grigory Grebennikov’s appointment to the ESG team as carbon manager will help it achieve sustainable practices across its operations.
Grebennikov brings extensive experience to Glencar, having previously worked at Mott MacDonald and contributing to commercial developments such as Google’s new HQ, major infrastructure projects for the aviation and marine sectors, and decarbonisation works for the NHS.
He also has expertise in building decarbonisation, carbon compliance, and sustainable building certifications.
He will lead Glencar’s sustainability strategy, focusing on reducing carbon emissions, enhancing resource efficiency, and embedding environmentally responsible practices across the business and its supply chain.
Grebennikov said: “I am thrilled to join Glencar at such a pivotal time. The company’s vision for sustainability aligns perfectly with my passion for delivering decarbonisation, embedding sustainable practices, and making a meaningful environmental impact.
“Together, I look forward to helping drive forward the green future that Glencar is championing.”
James Scott, ESG director at Glencar, added: “At Glencar, sustainability is integral to everything we do. The appointment of a Carbon Specialist marks an exciting milestone in our ESG journey.
