Statom to deliver 530-home riverside scheme

Statom and tower crane hire specialist Trident Lifting Solutions will be delivering the substructure, raft slabs, riverwall replacement, facade retention, superstructure and tower crane package for the project.

In December 2023, Essex-headquartered Statom acquired the crane hire specialist to enhance its foothold in the construction sector.

The development will see the construction of 530 new homes, offices, shops, and restaurant space within six buildings designed by CZWG Architects.

The project is situated on the site of the former Poplar Bus Depot.

The new build homes will include one, two, and three-bedroom apartments on the banks of the River Lea.

Residents of Rivermark will have access to a range of amenities, including a private lounge, concierge services, a courtyard garden, and a rooftop terrace. 

The development will also feature an enhanced riverside walkway for residents and the community.

The Rivermark project is expected to launch in 2025, with a number of homes designated as affordable housing, as part of the planning consent for the development

It comes days after Statom announced the start of White City Living phase four and five for developer Berkeley Group Plc. 

In its latest financial results, Statom outlined a business expansion after reporting continued growth.

The Trident acquisition added £19 million in turnover to the group’s £143.2 million turnover for the year ended 30 November 2023, a 27 per cent increase on the year prior with £7.3 million.

Statom Group said via social media: “We are extremely pleased to be starting our first project with Taylor Wimpey plc and look forward to developing a long term partnership.”
