RSK said the deal enhances its consultancy capabilities across the built environment, with particular focus on sustainable buildings.

Established in 1962, Kendall Kingscott is one of the leading inter-disciplinary construction consultancies across South and South West England, with more than 200 staff operating from six hubs.

The business works across multiple markets including education, healthcare, residential, and retail, for both public and private sector clients – and its technical expertise comes from architects, building surveyors, project managers, principal designers, QS, H&S specialists, building services and low carbon consultants.

Kendall Kingscott has a wide portfolio of projects, including the expansion of the Oncology Ward at Southampton General Hospital.

Managing director Andrew Bailey will continue to lead the business.

The acquisition advisers were Bishop Fleming, Memery Crystal and Roxburgh Milkins.

RSK group CEO, Alan Ryder, said: “RSK has built an impressive offering in architecture, project management and building surveying services and the addition of Kendall Kingscott is an important milestone in delivering on this strategy.

“Kendall Kingscott’s strong presence in the healthcare and higher education sectors made it particularly attractive and will lead to multiple revenue synergies across the group.

“Like RSK Group, Kendall Kingscott is a client-focused business. This is strongly evidenced in their impressive statistics for repeat business, with some client relationships going back 30 years and a considerable number of framework relationships.”

Bailey added: “This exciting move opens significant opportunities for our people and business while staying true to who we are.

“It means our 60-year legacy is protected but within a platform that will enable us to achieve our ambitious plans more quickly than we could have ever imagined.

“Crucially, our people, leadership team, name, brand and services all stay the same, as does our commitment to clients.”

RSK now comprises more than 200 companies, employing more than 16,000 people.

It recently announced the acquisition of property services business 3BM Group for an undisclosed sum.

The group’s annual turnover at the end of FY2023 was £1.2 billion
