Cardiff City FC Community Foundation has announced a partnership with South Wales-based contractor Willis Construction for charity.
The partnership aims to enable the delivery of impactful projects supporting people and communities throughout South Wales.
Willis Construction was established by managing director Gareth Williams in 1986, focusing on new build development, major refurbishment & maintenance, and insurance repairs.
The family-run contractor has previously supported several community projects aimed at enhancing the quality of life for residents across the region.
Recent projects include the appointment as main contractor to deliver ‘The Big Shed’ – a development of 51 new affordable homes and 11,000sqft of commercial space designed to reignite the town centre of Tonypandy.
Last month, Cardiff City celebrated the 125th anniversary of its inaugural match, after it was founded by Bartley Wilson in 1899.
Gavin Hawkey, Community Foundation Director, said: “Building strong communities is at the heart of what we do, and we’re thrilled to partner with Willis Construction, a company that shares our vision for creating opportunities across South Wales.
“Together, we can reach even more people, helping them to thrive and achieve their full potential.”
Emma Lewis, business development manager at Willis Construction, added: “As a family business rooted in South Wales for almost 40 years, we’re committed to making a positive impact in the communities where we live and work.
“Partnering with Cardiff City FC Community Foundation allows us to contribute to life-changing programmes that support individuals and families across the region.”
