Caddick Construction has selected G&H to deliver a full MEP design and build package for Pudsey Sixth Form College, in Leeds.
G&H will start work on the college in February, incorporating air-source heat pumps and photovoltaic (PV) panels to help the building achieve a top BREEAM rating and Building Regulations UK Part L (BRUKL) certificate.
The firm will provide heating, ventilation, AC, public services, commercial kitchen services, and building management systems (BMS) throughout.
Scheduled to open for the 2025/26 academic year, the new teaching block will cater for 600 students studying A-Levels, vocational courses, and GCSEs – and provide additional sixth form space for the increasing number of 16-18-year-olds in the city.
G&H is delivering two further MEP contracts for the Luminate Education Group including Leeds Conservatoire and in 2025 at Harrogate College.
Established in 1998, G&H is a 180-strong team that provides design, management, delivery, and maintenance to every aspect of MEP schemes.
Steve Ford, managing director for Caddick Construction Yorkshire and North East, said: “Delivering new school places – whether primary, secondary or further education – requires efficiency and value for money, both of which are made possible through a high-quality and local supply chain.
“Caddick holds a strong 40-year legacy in Yorkshire, and during this time we’ve surrounded ourselves with a dedicated and highly skilled network of regional subcontractors.
“We’re pleased to have G&H on board to support the delivery of the new Pudsey College for our valued client, Luminate Education Group.”
Mohammad Choudhary, project engineer at G&H, said: “We have extensive experience in the education sector, so the Luminate Education Group projects align perfectly with our expertise.”
