Hertfordshire based specialist contractor PIB Contractors has delivered a ‘record year’ as it celebrates its 20th year of trading.
Turnover rose to £44 million in PIB Contractors and £50 million with associated companies, capping a period of controlled expansion and diversification for the business.
Lewis Foley, managing director at PIB, said: “In 2004, our founder / CEO Pavel Belev founded the company upon his arrival in the UK from Bulgaria.
“A large majority of the operatives who started with PIB between 2004 and 2006 remain with the business and have progressed to key management positions or working supervisory roles and or remain on the tools still working for us, more importantly we all remain friends outside of work.
“This loyalty is the key backbone of the business and is the fundamental of which Pavel places huge importance.”
Seventy-five per cent of turnover within the firm comes from SFS and Dry lining sectors, but the company has diversified over the last 5 years in carrying out in-house Carpentry, Facade and Flooring packages for trusted clients.
In addition to this Directors of PIB acquired carpentry and joinery firm, Kenmore, to aid its carpentry operations.
Foley added: “Our key business ethos at PIB is repeat business.
“Virtually all of our clients we have ensured repeat business with and that is due to our commitment in always delivering, despite various project’s challenges.
“Unfortunately due to issues outside of both PIB and our clients control, commercial challenges present themselves and we ensure that we meet these pro-actively in real-time, without letting them impact on delivery.”
