Commercial fitout specialists Ambit has announced the appointment of a new commercial director.
Chris Smart brings extensive experience in the UK real estate sector, with expertise in property management, asset management, and investment.
Coming from a background in QS, Smart previously worked at Knight Harwood for more than 10 years and Galliford Try before that for more than four years.
He said: “In my early meetings with the Ambit team it quickly became apparent that this was an ambitious business with aspirations to secure and deliver projects and expand their presence in the commercial refurb and fitout market. The prospect of being part of that was extremely exciting.”
Founded in 1991, Ambit provides client-focused fitout services predominately within London and the South East, but also operates nationally via its supply chain partners and regional management teams.
As well as delivering CAT A and B projects, the London-headquartered business also has expertise in cladding, structures, and technical installations such as studios and broadcast suites, labs, and plant infrastructure.
Partners include Savills, Gensler, Hoare Lea, Stiff + Trevillion, and Fathom Architects.
