Construction Wave is back for the second time with its flagship industry event, the Construction CFO Summit, launching in May 2025.
Our inaugural event at the illustrious 8 Northumberland Avenue in February was attended by some of the leading lights in construction finance and met with high praise from the hundreds of guests who joined us from all corners of the construction industry.
Notable speakers and panellists on the day included directors from banking firm Arbuthnot Latham, insolvency experts from Begbies Traynor, finance leaders from Carey Group, British Airways and many more.
Audience members from inside the construction industry heard insightful, timely advice and observations about the current state of finance in the sector and potential solutions to challenges that may still lie ahead concerning technology and insolvency, payments, M&A strategies, and embracing new ways of working.
“The CFO summit’s commitment to excellence and fostering genuine connections aligns perfectly with our values. It provided an invaluable platform for showcasing our solutions, engaging with industry leaders, and gaining insights into finance trends. Our experience as a sponsor was excellent, and we can’t wait to come back next year,” said Clara Hudson, BD at Gallagher Specialty.
“The CFO summit was a great platform for us to meet with financial and commercial stakeholders at construction companies of all sizes. Our business made several connections with industry partners and potential customers. We’ll be back again next year,” said Gabriel Makinwa, CEO of Coreloops
This time, Construction Wave wants to build on that success and bring back the best speakers in the business to address the challenges and opportunities as they see it, a year on from where we left off.

Construction Wave founder, Andrew Curtin, said: “The industry has endured and continues to strive during unprecedented times. The importance of remaining agile and open to change while balancing the books has never been higher.
“At Construction Wave we don’t just bring you the news. We also listen to what the industry is saying, what keeps people awake at night, and what sort of sector they want to work in and grow. That’s the true picture we seek to understand and show.
“That’s why we created Construction CFO Summit, a place where leading lights can gather once a year to share great ideas that will benefit their workforce and colleagues and the wider construction industry.
“I came into this industry wanting to improve it where possible through knowledge sharing and to champion the things I could see were working well – and our editorial team has carried that torch forward and illuminated areas of the sector that had been hunkered in the dark for too long.
“One of those areas is money. Some think it a dirty word, but it’s a fact of life and it’s a critical issue the industry needs to get its head around if we are to make real progress and raise all boats. I hope our guests at next year’s summit will benefit from the expert insights and advice our speakers can offer.”
