GAP Hire Solutions announces new MD of the North

Plant hire business GAP Group has announced a new managing director of the northern regions.

In his new role, James Anderson will oversee the Plant and Tools, Non-Mech, and Welfare Divisions across Scotland, the North East, and North West.  

Previously serving as head of asset management, Anderson now joins the GAP Board, bringing a wealth of expertise and industry experience to this position. 

“We’re thrilled to have him onboard as we continue to deliver exceptional solutions. Welcome, James,” said GAP Group. 

GAP Hire Solutions in Glasgow was established in 1969 by Gordon Anderson and the company is still family-owned and run by his sons, Douglas and Iain. 

Its 10 divisions comprise Plant Hire, Tool Hire, Lifting & TIC, Non-Mechanical, Trenching & Shoring, Survey & Safety Hire, Pump Services, Welfare Services, Tanker Services & Event Services. 

The company now has almost 200 locations and employs more than 2,000 workers throughout the UK.
