Wayne Flannery has been appointed managing director of Wates’ construction West region.

Flannery spent the past eight years in various director level positions at ISG, where he led projects across both the private and public sectors.

He brings a wealth of experience to the new role, where he will also join the Construction board.

The move follows Wates appointing former ISG fitout director Lee Phillips to focus on commercial fitout in London as the firm expands its refurbishment offering.

Phillips’ appointment was followed by former Bouygues UK director Phillippa Prongué becoming executive managing director of Wates’ Residential business, and before that Steve Jackson being appointed MD for Liberty, Wates’ property services business, which was an internal promotion.

“We’re pleased to announce the appointment of Wayne Flannery as managing director of our Construction West region,” said Wates.

“Wayne brings a wealth of experience and insight, having spent the past eight years in various director-level positions at ISG, where he led projects across both the private and public sectors.

“Wayne’s extensive background includes significant work on public sector frameworks, which will be invaluable as he joins our leadership team and takes on this new role.

“As part of his responsibilities, Wayne will also join the Construction board, contributing his strategic expertise to help drive growth and innovation in the division.”
