Construction consultancy Gleeds has announced a new regional director for its Scotland and Northern Ireland division.
Dorothy Robertson previously held multiple senior positions during her 28-year tenure at construction engineering company, Robinson Low Francis (RLF), including as executive partner, prior to its acquisition in 2021.
At RLF, she provided operational management, while leading cost consultancy and project management services on projects throughout the Scottish region.
Robertson also has expertise across commercial, leisure, health, education, industrial, and residential sectors, with more than 35 years’ experience advising private and public sector clients in the construction industry.
Gleeds’ Scotland and Northern Ireland offices employ more than 50 people and have consulted on some of the regions’ most prestigious projects, including Belfast Stories, the Helix at Falkirk, and multiple projects with Microsoft, PWC, Diageo, Historic Environment Scotland, Amazon, BAE Systems, Vita, and the Universities of St Andrews, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Queen’s Belfast.
Robertson said: “I’m thrilled to be taking up the role and leading a business with such a deep regional heritage. It’s an exciting time to be joining Gleeds, and I’m eager to get started building relationships with my new colleagues and clients, as well as collaborating to deliver exceptional results for the wide array of projects being delivered.”
Incoming UK managing director at Gleeds, Brian McArdle, said: “We’re pleased to be welcoming Dorothy to the business and I’m personally looking forward to working with her in supporting clients from our Glasgow, Edinburgh and Belfast offices.
“Gleeds will benefit enormously from Dorothy’s rich and diverse sector experience, and it’ll be fantastic to see this thriving region go from strength to strength.”
