Ipswich-headquartered fitout specialist, TMJ Interiors, has announced the completion of a management buyout (MBO).

L-R: Kevin Pryke, Tim Coll, James Taylor, Sarah Warren.

“After building TMJ for the past four decades, I am pleased the company legacy will continue” said founder, James Taylor, who started the joinery business in 1981.

He added: “This is an exciting opportunity for the management team, and I look forward to supporting them as they navigate through this evolution.”

The MBO, led by Tim Coll, Sarah Warren, and Kevin Pryke, marks a new chapter in the company’s history, said TMJ.

It is hoped the transition will increase operational efficiency while continuing innovation, positioning TMJ for sustainable growth in the years ahead.

The move will also see contracts director Coll step into the role of managing director, under the guidance of Taylor as chairman.

“Our goal is to build on the strong foundation laid out by James Taylor,” said Coll.

“We are excited to enhance our services and continue investing in our talented team, ensuring we remain at the forefront of the industry.”

Taylor Made Joinery (TMJ) Interiors has been involved in many high-profile projects over the years, including restoring Windsor Castle after the fire in 1992, delivering the Royal Festival Hall in 2000, and working on the London 2012 Olympic Games.

The team said it remains committed to upholding the family values and “grow our own” ethos integral to the company’s success since it was established.
