Marcus Reeve joined the business from McLaughlin & Harvey where he worked for more than a year as senior pre-construction manager.

Before that, he worked as pre-construction manager at Buckingham Group for nearly a year, joining from Balfour Beatty where he worked for well over three years, latterly as work-winning director.

Before his time at Balfour, Reeve spent 13 years working at Willmott Dixon in senior procurement and pre-construction roles.

He also spent time at John Laing Partnerships in the 1990s, working as a quantity surveyor.

“I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as head of pre-construction at STRABAG UK,” Reeve posted on social media.

In his new role at STRABAG UK, Reeve will lead the pre-construction teams and aim to deliver profitable, de-risked bids, while maintaining external relationships.

His appointment coincides with STRABAG UK being promoted from a sub-division to a division, becoming the twelfth operating division of the STRABAG Group.

STRABAG is the fifth-largest construction company in Europe and employs more than 86,000 people worldwide.

“This is a massive step forward in further developing our regional presence in the UK, having already established ourselves over the past decade,” said STRABAG UK managing directors, Simon Wild and Andrew Dixon.

“The great work of our colleagues has driven continued growth and success over recent years, evidenced by the impressive milestones reached on our major projects and our consistent growth in revenue.

“As a new division of STRABAG, we will continue to expand our work in the UK, including accelerating plans to enter the secure and energy sectors, while increasing our industry leading work in tunnelling, industrial and logistics, and civil engineering.”
