Kori Construction has strengthened its board of directors with the appointment of Scott Bartlett as construction director.
Bartlett joined the business in 2020 as senior contracts manager before being promoted to head of construction.
Kori managing director, Jordan Connachie, said Bartlett had been instrumental in developing the operational delivery team.
“Scott has built a fantastic team that has successfully delivered more than 1,000 beds and has built strong relationships with our client base,” said Connachie.
“He is well regarded for his hands-on approach and ability to get stuff done – just what we like.
“Appointing Scott to the board was an easy decision and on behalf of the directors, I would like to congratulate him on this achievement.
“It reinforces the business’s already strong board, putting us in great shape for the future.”
Bartlett added: “The transformation of SAC Construction into Kori Construction has been huge and has put the business on a national growth trajectory that is building year on year.
“Playing a part in that transformation as head of construction has been a fantastic experience.
“However, joining the board gives me the opportunity to help spearhead the ongoing growth of Kori Construction which is very exciting.
“Kori has a diverse and competent board, and between us we are looking forward to delivering on our growth aspirations in the later living and multi-room sectors.”
The move is one of several promotions made by the Corby-based main contractor as it continues to deliver ongoing growth in the care home, later living, and multi-room sectors.
Other internal promotions include Patrick Harris and Craig Smallman becoming senior contracts managers, Paul Cannon being promoted to senior project manager, Chris Wright being appointed senior site manager, and Henry Barrow promoted to senior estimator.
New hire, Jason Wells, also joins Kori as contracts manager.
In July, Kori reported turnover for the year ended 31 March 2024 of £54 million, up 56 per cent from £34.7 million in the previous financial period, generating a pre-tax profit of £4 million (FY2023: £1.5 million).
The contractor also generated a healthy operating profit this year of nearly £4 million, up from £1.5 million in the prior financial year.
The Northants business provides design and build and construction services to care home developers, occupiers and funders nationally, for projects ranging in value between £5 million to £25 million.
