Pure Fitout appoints new managing director

Northern Ireland shopfitter, Pure Fitout, has announced the appointment of a new managing director to its senior leadership team, promoting from within.

Gary McCloskey first joined the firm in September 2019 as commercial manager, before progressing to commercial director.  

He has been pivotal in the expansion of Pure Fitout’s commercial operations across the UK, Ireland, and Europe – and has contributed to sustained growth and profitability as well as establishing of a strong pipeline of projects and new clients. 

With more than 25 years in the construction industry, including as quantity surveyor and construction manager, McCloskey has delivered projects across a range of sectors including retail, aviation, education, hospitality, and rail.  

He said: “I’m truly honoured to take on the role of managing director at Pure Fitout.  

“This is a particularly exciting time for us as we continue to grow and deliver exceptional projects for our clients.  

“Our success is a testament to the hard work and commitment of our team, as well as our ongoing focus on innovation and quality.  

“With Pure Fitout’s 10th anniversary approaching in 2025, I look forward to leading us into this milestone year and driving collaboration across the fitout sector.” 

Pure Fitout owner, Ronan Higham, will continue to oversee the wider group of brands under the Pure Fitout umbrella, ensuring the ongoing expansion across all sectors and regions.  

This includes spearheading the growth of sister companies HALT, Nordic Facades, and Synk, which are integral to Pure Fitout’s strategy for diversifying its services and entering new markets. 

Higham said: “I’d like to extend my congratulations to Gary on his new role as managing director.  

“In the past five years, Gary has overseen some of our most high-profile projects, such as the award-winning Claridge’s Spa, Hawksmoor’s debut Irish restaurant in Dublin, the exclusive new Leinster Hotel in Dublin and The Heysham at North Wall Quay.  

“His ability to secure and retain prestigious clients has been instrumental in enhancing our brand profile and solidifying our financial stability.”
