Wates and Equans bosses join Morgan Sindall FM business

Morgan Sindall Property Services (MSPS) has added two outside hires to its directorship team to support the company’s continued growth. 

Ciaran O’Shea, New Business and Partnerships Director and Andrew Charlton, Pre- Construction Director.

Ciaran O’Shea joins from Equans where he was head of business development for the southern region, taking up the role of new business and partnerships director at MSPS. 

Prior to that, he was business development director for Mears Group,where he played a key role in developing and diversifying its service offering. 

He brings more than 25 years’ experience in the property and housing sector. 

New pre-construction director at MSPS, Andrew Charlton, joins from Wates Group, where for the last five years he held the same position for the southern region. 

He also brings a wealth of experience to the business, starting his career in delivery, then moving into pre-construction.  

MSPS managing director, Jo Jamieson, said: ‍“I am delighted to welcome Ciaran and Andrew on board. Their breadth of experience and proven track record in the sector makes them valuable additions to our leadership team, helping us take the business forward and support future growth plans.” 

In August, Morgan Sindall announced another record first half financial performance, with solid growth reported across its key business divisions. 

Group revenue for the six months to 30 June 2024 was £2.21 billion, up 14 per cent from the £1.93 billion achieved in the same period in the previous year, generating a pre-tax profit of £70.1 million, 21 per cent ahead of HY2023 (£58 million).     

Its balance sheet showed a net cash position of £351 million, £88 million ahead of HY2023, and a solid and stable high quality order book of £8.7 billion compared to £8.9 billion in FY2023.
