Skanska has announced the appointment of a new energy operations director within the company’s infrastructure business.
Jon Kiteley joins Skanska from Balfour Beatty, where he headed up a regional infrastructure and construction services business employing more than 300 people.
Kiteley will now be responsible for leading Skanska’s work in the growing renewable energy market, building on successful projects delivered within Skanska globally and the UK.
This includes through civil engineering and utilities expertise, combined with specialist in-house piling and ground engineering, fabrications and MEP services.
He said: “I am delighted to be joining Skanska at such a key time in the transition to renewable energy and progression towards greater energy security.
“Skanska has built an excellent reputation over its 135-year plus history, delivering complex infrastructure projects in a responsible and sustainable way.
“I look forward to drawing on our industry leading expertise across the business globally to deliver industry leading performance and collaboration in the sector.”
Andrew English, MD of Skanska’s Infrastructure business, added: “Within Skanska, we have extensive construction and civil engineering experience that we can bring to our customers.
“Jon will harness this capability and strengthen our energy operations, through his values-driven way of working and experience, skills and capabilities.
