US private equity firm Stellex Capital Management has acquired Blackpool-headquartered haulier Fox Brothers Holdings Group in a move which will see chief executive Paul Fox continue in his role.
As part of the transaction, Fox Brothers will merge with Preston-based J.A. Jackson, a well-known quarry operator and producer of recycled aggregates and ready-mixed concrete.
Fox Brothers has been in operation since 1932 and is now in its fourth generation of family leadership.
It provides a range of integrated services and materials to the UK construction and infrastructure industries, including:
- muck-away
- aggregates haulage
- recycled aggregates
- waste recycling
- quarry operations
- ready-mix concrete
In 2022 Fox Group added local firm Woods Waste Limited to its growing portfolio of companies, which specialises in inert waste disposal, recycling, soil supplies and aggregates.
Subsequent acquisitions by Fox include B&W Plant Hire & Sales Limited, Tipworx Limited, and Monks Training Services.
“We are proud to share that an affiliate of Stellex Capital Management has acquired Fox Brothers Holdings Group, a UK-based integrated services and materials provider to the construction and infrastructure industry,” said Stellex.
Adding: “The company welcomes Mark Joel as company chair and Andy Swinnerton as chief operating officer.”
