French contractor Legendre UK has been appointed as the main contractor for a 46,000 sq ft office scheme at Parsons Green in south west London.

Appointed by WRE and joint venture partner Taurus UK, Legendre UK is set to deliver six floors of flexible office and amenity space, which will span from the basement to the fourth floor.
Formerly known as Alexander House, the building at 14-16 Peterborough Road was a 1950’s former warehouse building comprising refurbished ‘loft style’ offices arranged over lower ground, ground and three upper floors.
The new office space, designed by architects TateHindle, will also include accessible roof terraces on the third and fourth floors, with planting across levels two to four.
On the team: Elliott Wood as the structural engineer, Exigere as the quantity surveyor, and B&CO as the project manager.
The aim of the development is to provide high-quality, well-connected office space, which caters to increasing workspace demand within walking distance of home and local amenities.
Works will involve the demolition of the existing office block on site with the French construction firm acting as main contractor and a co-investor.
Works start this month and the project is scheduled to finish Q3 2026.
Legendre UK is the British subsidiary of international real estate development and construction business Groupe Legendre.
The appointment follows the firm’s expansion into the property development sector, with plans to build out all its own development projects, leveraging the advantage of its developer role to influence the decision-making process.
Legendre UK managing director Thomas Vandecasteele said: “This appointment builds on our expertise in delivering complex commercial schemes across London, continuing to strengthen our co-investment strategy alongside key and trusted partners.”
Head of pre-construction at Legendre UK, Tanguy Guerer, added: “We are delighted at the opportunity to work with WRE, following a competitive single stage tender.
“Our proposed value engineering included in our tender were well received by WRE, allowing us to maximise cost efficiency on the project whilst still ensuring a high-quality outcome.”
