ULIS is one of three partners to be awarded a place on the Low Complexity Delivery Route (LDCR) Framework, valued at £210 million

It joins Clancy Docwra Limited and Barhale Limited for the works on the water side of the framework, while Clancy Docwra Limited, J Browne Construction Co Ltd and Morrison Utility Services Ltd are on the wastewater side.

Southern Water awarded contracts to eight companies across  ‘Strategic Delivery Partner’ (SDP) or LCDR frameworks, valued at £3.7 billion in total.

The five-year LCDR framework will begin 1 April 2025 and could extend for a further three years, while SCP framework will run for seven years.

Costain and MWH Treatment (as part of the CMDP+ joint venture), Kier Integrated Services Ltd, and Galliford Try Construction Ltd have all been awarded places on the Strategic Delivery Partner framework for non infrastructure above ground works.

Meanwhile, Morrison Water Services Ltd have been awarded a place on the Strategic Delivery Partner framework for infrastructure works.

As part of the LCDR framework’s clean water design and build scope, ULIS will deliver supply side improvements to:

  • Increase capacity
  • Lead replacement
  • Pipe relining or replacement
  • New connections

United Living Groups infrastructure division will also support the delivery of Water Resources Management Plan (WRMP) to build potable water bulk supply and transfer arrangements between Southern Water and neighbouring Sutton and East Surrey Water (SES).

It will work across the entire Southern Water regions, including Hampshire, Isle of Wight,  Sussex and Kent.

Earlier this month ULIS was awarded a partnership contract to deliver major National Gas Asset Health for Above-Ground Installation (AGI) in the South East of England, under the National Gas Transmission Asset Health Framework.

The multi-million-pound project will run for the next two years.

Conor Bray, managing director for United Living Infrastructure Services said: “We are delighted to partner Southern Water on this important AMP8 capital infrastructure investment  programme to transform clean water across the region.

“Working closely with Southern Water, we will use our significant expertise and experience, including  our MEICA and Engineering specialist business, AFECO, to deliver an innovative and highly sustainable service.

“We look forward to supporting Southern Water’s major investment in the local environment,  delivering high standards of drinking water quality, and addressing increased demand from the growing  population.”

Southern Water’s Chief Financial Officer, Stuart Ledger, added: “This announcement marks an important milestone in our preparation for the next regulatory investment period 2025-30 and beyond.

“Southern plans to more than double its investment over the  next 5 years to meet the needs of customers and the environment.”
