Glencar has been appointed to deliver a 335,000 sq. ft distribution centre in Crewe.

The development is the first instruction to be received by the Hertfordshire-headquartered firm from developer Trebor.
It will take place in Crewe’s commercial area and marks significant investment in the region to expand into the industrial and logistics sector.
All within a self-contained and secure site, the centre will feature:
- 15m eaves height
- Grade A offices
- Dock and level access loading doors
- Yard depths up to 56m
- Separate car parking, all within a self-contained and secure site
The unit has been designed to be sustainable from the start, including:
- 10 per cent roof lights
- solar panelled roof
- dedicated EV charging points
- cycle spaces, and staff wellbeing areas
It plans to be built to BREEAM “Excellent” standards and is targeting EPC “A”.
This follows the completion of a £28 million multi-user warehouse in Liverpool by Glencar and the firm’s appointment to a 62,413 sq ft industrial warehouse in Worcester.
Peter Goodman, Glencar managing director Midlands & North, said: “Trebor is without doubt one of the most active, leading developers in the I&L marketspace so we are naturally delighted to have been appointed by them for the first time.
“This development sits in a key strategic location in the well established industrial area along Weston Road (A532) and together with the high specification and array of sustainable features built in is likely to be a compelling proposition for occupiers seeking to base their operations in this area.”
Mark Wright, partner at Trebor, said: “Having successfully completed demolition works onsite we are now excited about the next phase of work onsite and starting vertical construction in this key location for logistics and distribution.
This development offers significant potential, with strong levels of interest at this early stage and we look forward to seeing the construction phase for completion next Spring.”
