United Living Infrastructure Services (ULIS) has been awarded a partnership contract to deliver major National Gas Asset Health for Above-Ground Installation (AGI) in the South East of England.
Under the National Gas Transmission Asset Health Framework, ULIS is to carry out all AGI works in key National Gas sites including Essex, Suffolk, and East Anglia.
The multi-million-pound project has commenced and will run for the next two years.
ULIS was successfully awarded a place on the framework in 2022.
Works range from multi-asset replacement to extensive refurbishment, with the scope of works including:
- AGI asset replacement
- AGI upgrades
- Pressure Reduction Station works
- cathodic protection
- customer diversions.
The National Gas Transmission Asset Health Framework is critical to help support the UK’s transition to a low-carbon future.
This follows the announcement that United Living Group won a £40 million contract with the London Borough of Harrow for property repairs and maintenance, last month.
The business saw significant recent growth, securing new contracts worth £1.7 billion during the last financial period across all four of its business pillars and reported a secured order book worth £3 billion.
Conor Bray, managing director at United Living Infrastructure Services, said: “We look forward to building on our existing relationship with National Gas and helping them to deliver sustainable gas infrastructure across the South East.
“The Asset Health Framework is a key contract for National Gas Transmission, and our team of skilled staff will play a leading role in ensuring assets are upgraded and improved in a timely, cost-efficient manner.”
Jonathon Thorns, project director at National Gas, added: “The Asset Health Partnership is critical for securing the long-term capacity needed to ensure the ongoing security and resilience of National Gas’ network over the coming years.”
