The façade specialist is currently in the design phase at its design centre in Italy, where the bespoke elements of the façade will also be assembled in its manufacturing facility.

Installation is planned to start at the end of March next year, and expected to finish after 12 months.

The new 13-storey building has been developed by Royal London Asset Management Limited and designed by PLP Architecture and is planned to house modern and sustainable offices, targeting BREEAM ‘outstanding’.

The depth and shape of the 15,000 sqm façade will aim to minimise solar gain whilst maximising natural sunlight.

Operable windows will be implemented to provide natural ventilation, focused on delivering  sustainability credentials and well-being to the occupants.

This follows recent sustainability projects by Multiplex, which has recently been appointed to build a biodiverse office tower in the City of London on behalf of AXA Investment Managers.

Liam Cummins, Permasteelisa Group’s CEO, said: “Being chosen by Multiplex to deliver such a prominent project in the City, highlights our capability as a market leading façade specialist.”

John Conboye, executive general manager for Permasteelisa UK, added: “We’re looking forward to being part of this prestigious scheme and to delivering our work successfully, safely and on time for Multiplex following a very successful and highly collaborative PCSA (preconstruction services agreement).”
