Main contractor MYCO and developer Karrev appointed the MEP services provider to support the refurbishment job.

Designed by Manchester-based architect Joseph Sunlight, work on Sunlight House will begin in July with Phase one set to finish April 2025.

The job aims to improve the energy performance of the Grade II listed building and helping it achieve net-zero.

A 40-strong team plans to deliver a full MEP design and build to transform the 14 story Grade A office, aiming for four star NABERS* and BREEM** sustainability ratings.

G&H will also install a solar PV system, new energy saving lighting, fire, access control and CCTV systems, heating and cooling systems, and upgrade the power services.

The company saw turnover up more than £10 million in their latest financial statement with £48.8 million for the year ended 31 December 2022 up from £34.9 million FY2022 while profit increased by £12.6 million.

Andrew Dunkin, project manager at MYCO, said: “To be a part of the team which brings Sunlight House back to its original glory is very exciting for me as a project manager and I look forward to working with G&H Group to make this happen.”

David Davis, G&H Group director, said: “Sustainability is at the heart of the project and G&H Group will, through every aspect of design and installation, ensure Karrev’s environment targets are achieved.”
