The new phase focuses on Block C & D, and will consist of 200 new modern homes for private sale built within the old gasholder with an additional 97 affordable homes in Block C.

The 8-acre brownfield site saw over £150 million upfront capital investment to unlock the site, with more than 1,300 units to Lambeth.

The Grade II listed No.1 Gasholder is the largest of its kind in the world dating back to 1897.

Statom will deliver substructure, superstructure and tower crane package through Trident Lifting Solutions Limited.

The Essex-headquartered contractor outlined a business expansion last year following the release of latest financial results.

It saw a 27 per cent revenue increase to £143.2 million for the year ended 30 November 2023, while acquiring a new 9,000 sq. ft office in London Bridge.

The group said: “We are extremely pleased to be continuing our journey on site after successfully completing 2 previous phases in the past 3 years.
