PERI Group has announced the acquisition of West Yorkshire–headquartered temporary works specialist, Mabey Hire Limited, for an undisclosed sum.

Mabey Hire, in Dewsbury, provides temporary solutions for infrastructure and renovation construction projects in the UK.
Its portfolio includes groundshoring for excavations, propping and jacking for renovations, temporary bridges for access, and sensors for various construction projects.
Last year, Mabey Hire saw turnover of more than £53 million, generating a pre-tax profit of £9.7 million.
The business has around 400 employees across 16 locations in the UK.
Mabey Hire will continue to trade under its current management, brand and name and operate as an independent company under PERI UK.
Scaffolding and formwork manufacturer, PERI Group, in Weissenhorn, Germany, has approximately 9,000 employees across more than 160 locations worldwide and a turnover of €1.9 billion.
PERI Group CEO, Christian Schwörer, said: “This acquisition marks an important milestone in our growth strategy to develop new market shares and areas in the civil engineering and renovation markets, especially in the UK but also internationally.”
