Avant Homes hires former Persimmon land director

Nottingham-headquartered housebuilder Avant Homes East Midlands has strengthened its senior management team.

Carl Oxley has been appointed land director, joining the business from residential developer Persimmon Homes where he held the same position. 

Oxley has more than 30 years’ experience in the housebuilding industry. At Avant, he will be responsible for leading the East Midlands’ land team in securing new multi-tenure development opportunities through site acquisitions across the region.  

He said: “I am very pleased to have joined a business with a clear focus, and to be leading a highly capable team of land professionals to further enable the delivery of this strategy throughout the East Midlands.” 

Avant Homes East Midlands is part of the Avant Homes Group, which operates across the Midlands, North of England and Scotland from eight regional operating businesses and employs more than 600 people.

The East Midlands business currently has seven live developments ranging from Cotchett Village in Mickleover to Barton Point in Kettering.

“He has a proven track record of delivering results whilst his experience and ability will undoubtedly help us drive forward our multi-tenure strategy within the region.”
