HG Construction has been appointed to deliver a new Build-to-Rent (BTR) scheme in Leeds city centre, valued at £69 million.
McLaren Living and Heim Global Investor hired the firm as main contractor for the new BeckYard development in the South Bank Regeneration Area.
Designed by Carey Jones Chapman Tolcher (CJCT), the scheme will transform a vacant former car park site into a residential-led neighbourhood, with 375 new homes across a mix of apartments.
Amenities include residents’ lounges, shared workspaces, and a gym as well as several roof gardens.
A provision for more than 260 cycle bays and 46 car parking spaces is also in the plans.
Supported by West Yorkshire Combined Authority’s Brownfield Housing Fund, BeckYard is expected to complete early in 2027.
HG Construction CEO, Adam Quinn, said: “This is our fourth scheme for the McLaren Group and will strengthen the collaborative relationship between our two companies.
“BeckYard is HG’s third project in the Leeds area, and we are looking forward to further contributing to the city of Leeds and more specifically the South Bank area with this fantastic scheme.”
