The announcement follows the recent acquisition of construction and demolition waste recycler Mick George Group, following approval from the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA).

Bristol-headquartered B&A employs a team of 70 and specialises in the supply of recycled and primary aggregate as well as site clearance, earthworks, land remediation and regeneration services.

Last year it turned over more than £50 million and generated a pre-tax profit of £9.1 million.

B&A Group joins Heidelberg’s recycling business line, led by managing director James Whitelaw.

Heidelberg CEO, Simon Willis, said: “B&A Group is a successful business with an unrivalled reputation in the south west, underpinned by a strong team.

“It is an exciting opportunity for us, and I am looking forward to working with the B&A Group to grow the business further.”
