Mace has appointed a new lead to spearhead the group’s work on critical defence programmes, underscoring its continued growth in the sector.

Graham Seage has been promoted to head of defence and national security, placing him in charge of a team of 430 people working across Europe.
Seage served as interim head of defence and national security since February after taking over from David Martin who is now MD of Mace’s Asia Pacific global hub.
He joined Mace in 2007, during which time he headed up the Utilities division and served as commercial director on major projects such as the London 2012 Olympics and HS2.
With more than three decades of industry expertise, Seage also has experience managing multi-disciplinary teams across rail, highways, aviation, marine, defence and sports sectors.
In this role, he will build on longstanding relationships with the Ministry of Defence, Defence Infrastructure Organisation, Defence Equipment & Support and Babcock, as well as develop new relationships and secure new commissions across Europe.
He will report to Andy Beard who was recently appointed managing director for Infrastructure in Europe.
Seage said: “As I step into the role of head of defence and national security, I couldn’t be clearer on the importance of Mace’s role in supporting critical defence programmes at a time where the sector is a key priority.
“With a steadfast commitment to excellence, I look forward to collaborating with our talented teams to take forward the business into its next chapter of growth, ensuring soldiers and personnel receive the necessary equipment and support they deserve.”
Jason Millett, group deputy CEO and CEO for Consult at Mace, added: “Our defence and national security business has grown considerably over the past five years, with our programme and project delivery teams involved in some of the largest critical defence programmes across Europe.
“Graham’s appointment is a clear signal of intent of our ongoing commitment to the sector and the clients we are, and will be, delivering for.”
