The £11 million contract at the Brent Cross Town development in Barnet will cover works to four blocks with a total of 249 flats.

Developer Related Argent and property investment manager Invesco Real Estate recently appointed Galliford Try to deliver a further phase of the scheme, understood to be one of Europe’s largest town centre developments.

Having previously been appointed to build 249 new homes earlier this year, Galliford will now build a further 286 apartments across three blocks, as well as retail and amenity space and a new leisure suite and swimming pool.

The wider scheme, a partnership between Barnet Council and Related Argent, includes 3 million sq ft of office space, transport links, new health and leisure facilities, three educational centres, and 6,700 new homes across a 151-hectare site.

Briggs & Forrester will start in December, with completion scheduled for 2025.
