ilke Homes is working with The Riverside Group to finalise proposals on the housing project.
The firm will deliver up to 449 houses and apartments, ranging from one to four bedrooms.
The homes will be available for social rent, shared ownership, and build-to-rent.
Both companies will submit their proposals for Reserved Matters planning approval from the Thanet District Council at the end of the month.
ilke Homes anticipate construction in early 2024.
Inside the job
The site spans 21 acres (approximately 8.5 hectares).
Most homes will be built offsite at ilke Homes’ 250,000 sq ft factory in Knaresborough, North Yorkshire.
Precision engineering
The firm will deliver the site under its ‘design and build’ offering.
This involves ilke:
- Gaining planning permission.
- Manufacturing the homes.
- Developing the site.
With robotics, AI, and digital design, the firm aims to build well-insulated homes that reduce tenant bills.
“ilke Homes continues to partner with some of the country’s most well-known housing associations, largely in part to our ability to deliver high quality, energy-efficient homes quickly,” said Tom Heathcote, executive director of development at ilke Homes.
