Located in Park Royal on a 1.2-acre (0.5 hectares) site, LHR21 will be less than 30 minutes away from Heathrow Airport.

The six-storey building will span 18,000 sqm and is expected to produce 20MW of IT capacity.

Glencar specialist data centre team will be working with Essex Services Group (ESG) for this project, as part of the ‘Contractor Alliance.’

Construction is expected to start in weeks and Vantage aims to have the centre open to customers by early 2025.

Inside the project

This is the second data centre Vantage has in London.

The 48MW LHR1 campus saw its initial entrance into the market just three months ago.

Once both centres are built, the total capacity in the “Big Smoke” will be 68MW.

National Grid will provide the power to the centre.

Other features include:

  • Customisable workspaces and offices.
  • Secure storage with easy access to data modules.
  • Conference rooms and meeting spaces.
  • Green spaces and cycle storage.

“Securing this project with Vantage Data Centers is a real milestone for Glencar as we enter the Data Centre space,” said Eddie McGillycuddy, CEO of Glencar

“Many of our team have a wealth of experience in this sector but it is our first major scheme under the Glencar banner and Vantage has been an incredible partner since day one.”

Glencar and Vantage Data Centers were approached for further information.
