Mace’s Consult arm will provide project and commercial management services to PPG’s multimillion-pound infrastructure programme over the next eight years

The firm will play an important role in delivering infrastructure improvements to the Group’s customer offering at its UK and Ireland sites.

Carbon reduction targets

As part of its responsible business plan, Mace aims to help its clients save 10 million tonnes of carbon.

The partnership will help PPG’s goal in reaching carbon neutrality by 2040.

Second deal of the year

This is Mace’s second venture into the ports sector in 2023.

In February, Associated British Ports (ABP) chose the firm to deliver its services across five UK sites.

With further presence in the sector, Mace is a leader in driving the national Freeports agenda and upholding programmes in locations like Hull and Plymouth.

“Ports blend local benefits with global growth; add ambitious carbon reduction targets and an intelligent approach to infrastructure improvement, the legacy potential of this programme is clear. We can’t wait to begin delivering on the ground,” said Sean Gray, director of transportation at Mace Consult.
