US-UK JV agree £302m Birmingham towers scheme

£302 million has been forward-funded to build a major Build-to-Rent (BTR) scheme in Birmingham.

US investment firm Harrison Street is partnering with Apache Capital Partners and insurance company NFU Mutual in the UK on Moda Living‘s Great Charles Street development in the city. 

The four-party joint venture was formed in 2018 and currently has six assets in the UK comprising 3,050 homes in Edinburgh, Leeds, Birmingham and Glasgow. 

Moda will lead development, management and operations for the 722 units on Great Charles Street in the Jewellery Quarter.  

A series of tower blocks will rise to 39 storeys.
