A joint venture between Far East Consortium (FEC) and Manchester City Council has revealed ambitious redevelopment plans for the area of Collyhurst.
Collyhurst is part of the wider Victoria North regeneration scheme which will see 15,000 homes built across seven new neighbourhoods in north Manchester over the next two decades.
It is understood 274 homes (130 affordable) are underway, with DEX Construction already on site, according to FEC.
Investment in transport infrastructure, new local services, public realm and active travel schemes are also proposed.

“We want this initial phase of investment to be the catalyst for future development in the area, which we believe has the potential for around 3,000 new homes – with affordability being a crucial element – in the coming years, along with investment in local green space, new shops and services,” said Cllr Gavin White, Manchester City Council.
A public consultation is expected in due course.
