The firm will build 250 homes at the former site of Copland School off Cecil Avenue.

This courtyard development will see a mix of apartments and maisonettes across five to nine storeys.

Commercial units and community space will be created at street level.

Another 54 homes will be built opposite at Ujima House, along with workspace and a café.

152 homes off Cecil Avenue will be for private sale. The rest will be a mixture of affordable homes for council tenants and people on middle incomes.

Wates is currently delivering 99 council homes for Brent Council at Church End, which includes 16 apprenticeships and 20 work placements.

The firm also recently delivered 149 homes at Knowles House and Anansi House.
