McLaughlin & Harvey to start phase two of leisure contract

McLaughlin & Harvey has completed the first phase of a £42.5 million leisure centre in Scotland.

The firm was appointed to the new Allander Leisure Centre by East Dunbartonshire Council, via the SCAPE framework.   

Phase Two involves demolition of the old centre and construction of a sports dome, with two football pitches and a tennis court.  

Features 

  • 25m eight-lane pool and 20m training pool  
  • Gym, fitness studios, and spin room 
  • Eight-court games hall 
  • Two squash courts 
  • Sauna and steam room 
  • Hydrotherapy pool 

There are also facilities for adults with learning disabilities, which include dementia, rebound, sensory and physiotherapy treatment rooms, and arts & crafts, dance and music rooms. 

Phase Two is expected to complete in Autumn.
