The Group’s Infrastructure Services business was selected by Northumbrian Water Group (NWG) for construction and engineering works across its network in the North East.
The four-year contract (worth approximately £18 million a year) has an option for a further four years and will see United continue its partnership with NWG which began in 2005.
Scope of works

Fresh talent
United will also do backfill and reinstatement following maintenance works and is one of three suppliers doing repairs resulting from mains failures.
This additional work means United will create 20 extra places on its Water Network Operative Apprenticeship programme.
“NWG conducted an extensive tender exercise to establish the key partners who could help us to deliver the outcomes required for our customers, now and through the duration of AMP8,” said NWG.
