A planning application will be submitted by Nottingham City Council in the Summer, with construction due to begin in Spring next year, wrote the Enquirer.

The bridge will join the Lady Bay area south of the River Trent to the Trent Basin waterside housing estate near Colwick.

Costs have been revised upwards from the initial £9 million in 2021 due to delays, wrote Construction Management. Other reports also cite inflation and design changes.
