The Hyde Group has received planning approval for the new Brookhill Estate in Woolwich.
The 80 existing houses on site will be demolished and replaced by six buildings, each with a communal garden.
In total, 254 homes will be provided in a mix of flats, maisonettes and houses, 49% of which will be affordable.
There will also be 1,885 sqm of play areas across the estate.
