McLaren has lodged plans for a “landmark” 45-storey Build-to-Rent (BTR) tower in Leeds.

The firm’s property arm aims to deliver a hexagonal tower at Wellington Square containing 464 apartments.
It also seeks to build two 14 and 15-storey office blocks spanning almost 435,000 sq ft next to the main tower.
It is understood the hexagonal tower will stand 141m tall.
Existing buildings at the site next to the A58 gyratory will be demolished before works begin.
The mixed-use scheme at Wellington Square is the latest addition to a cluster of tall buildings in the Leeds West End.
