RSK Group has acquired marine geoscience consultancy Hydrofix – the Group’s fourth acquisition in little over a month.

Hydrofix, in Cheshire, operates in the offshore wind energy and telecommunications sectors.
It specialises in offshore site investigation, seabed preparation and construction consultancy support throughout a project’s lifecycle.
Hydrofix’s clients include SSE, Ørsted, RWE, Marubeni Corporation, Sumitomo Corporation, Global Marine Group, Enshore Subsea and James Fisher Renewables.
Recent projects include operational support from desktop study to installation of multiple fibre-optic power cables on the west coast of Scotland; planning and site investigation of cable routes across the English Channel and Irish Sea; and various wind farm unexploded ordnance (UXO) investigation, inspection and clearance in the North and Baltic Seas.
The move will complement RSK’s marine science, renewable energy and geosciences services, said RSK Group CEO, Alan Ryder.
RSK also recently acquired temporary site service company WysePower, market research agency BMG Research, and mineral exploration and ground investigation contractor Irish Drilling Limited.
RSK now comprises more than 175 companies, employing 11,000 people.
Its annual turnover at the end of FY22 was £796 million.
