John Sisk & Son will deliver a new Children’s Cancer Centre at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).

Camden Council granted planning permission for the new facility on 8 Feb, which Sisk has been working on for several years.
The existing facilities built many years ago do not reflect modern healthcare.
“The new Children’s Cancer Centre will mean children are treated together, in a bespoke environment, designed to meet their needs, with a focus on play and physical and educational activities alongside medical treatment,” said Matthew Shaw, GOSH CEO.
- New cancer wards
- Cancer day care
- Theatres and ICUs
- Chemotherapy pharmacy
A new entrance, imaging equipment and school for the children will also be created.

Construction will take about three years.
